The original, and largest, Villa Andrea Ponti, was demolished and reconstructed in the second half of the 18th Century. The architect was Giuseppe Balzaretto. The more recently reconstructed Villa Fabio Ponti, (also known as Villa Napoleonica), was built during the 17th Century, and extended 1820-1830 - the Ponti family acquiring it in 1838 as a summer residence. This attractive building has large rooms richly decorated with stuccowork. There is also a natural lake in the English-style garden. Today the villas are owned by the Chamber of Commerce, and used as a Congress Centre.
