The Villa San Remigio in Verbania is situated in beautiful grounds. The Browne family built the original chalet in 1863 and it was enlarged between 1903 and 1905. The façade is Lombard Baroque in style. The main hall is in the central part of the villa and flights of steps on each side lead up to the entrances. Of note are the arms room and the music room. There is also a Gothic room and a study devoted to the classics. Among the valuable furnishings and fittings are decorative door frames, cornices, fireplaces and wooden ceilings.
