St Peter and Paul Church

The church of St Peter and St Paul in Tiarno di Sopra was built in 1939. It was erected on the site of a previous church dating from 1650 and incorporates part of the older structure including the hexagonal dome-shaped presbyter with its large windows. The façade’s lateral wings, the triumphal arch and the Romanesque bell tower, are also of the old church. There are artistic works by Tiarno, and Tiziano worked on the altarpiece with St Peter on the black altar.
