The Scuola Grande di S. Giovanni Evangelista was erected at the end of the 14th Century. As a building it is an instant eye catcher because of the large front entrance that opens on to a small courtyard. It is a mix of styles from the 14th Century up to the late 15th Century. Restored in the 17th Century when the hall of San Giovanni was built at the same time. It also has a fabulous monumental staircase, and the Oratory of the Cross, which is next door.
