Italy is renowned the world over for its lace making and embroidery work. At the Scuola di Merletti displays of the country’s finest work can be seen. Lace and other linens have been exported from here since the Renaissance period. The museum has exhibits of linen-ware for tables, living rooms, entrance halls, bedrooms and bathrooms as well as beautiful work for suits, shirts, collars, cuffs and nightwear. Visitors can watch the skilled crafters at their work.
