Santa Croce is a Baroque church located in the oldest part of the town of Umbertide. Housed in the church is a very important work of art, a Deposition by Luca Signorelli. Because this painting is the only one by the Cortona artist that can still be found in its original setting, the church of Santa Croce has now become a museum. It also houses a modest collection of other paintings including a Madonna and Child and Angels by Niccolo Pomarancio from 1577.
