The church of S. Nicolò is also known as the Teatine church and was erected some time between 1627 and 1683 by Lelio Pellesina. It only has a single nave inside and the walls are lined with Corinthian pilasters that mark out several niches containing statues, above which are some wonderful works of art. The church was destroyed by bombing in WWII, but was completely restored when some new features were added. The presbytery has an impressive Baroque altar that was built after the plague of 1630 by Guarino Guarini.
