The Pieve di Soave is the beautiful parish church of the fortified citadel ‘Soave’ and one of the few 16th Century holy buildings in Verona today. It can be found in the Lessinia, a hilly area just north of Verona that is well known for its parks. Inside the church is magnificent 16th Century baptistery on the left hand side, while hanging over the altar is a masterpiece by Farinati dating back to the early 16th Century. Sitting over the third altar is a magnificent wood carving of ‘The Risen Christ’ by the Venetian Matteo Cahampsa, dating back to 1533.
