Although the Parco delle Rimembranze (Park of Remembrance) isn’t the largest park in Venice, it’s one of the favourite green areas of the city. Each tree in the park was planted in memory of a victim killed in WWI. Children of all ages gather here as the park has plentiful and varied play areas. There is also a roller skating rink which is a popular local attraction. The Parco delle Rimembranze is situated in Sant’Elena which is the more modern Eastern part of Castello sistieri.
