The Naval Museum is located quite close to the Arsenale and here visitors can see the history of the Venetian and Italian Navy. There are exhibits of military and civil model ships and many prints as well as documentary evidence. Also on display are compasses and other maritime equipment, canons and period gondolas. Some of the exhibits on show date from the 18th Century but the majority are from the 19th Century including flags and uniforms.
