The Museum of Affreschi was set up in 1973 to conserve important frescoes which were removed from religious buildings in Verona. On display are 12th Century works from the votive chapel of the saints Nazaro and Celso. Frescoes from Palazzo Guarienti ai Filippini contain symbolic scenes which are attributed to Paolo Farinati, and others are by Felice Brusasorci and Bernardino India from the now demolished Palazzo Fiorio Della Seta. From the museum, visitors can reach the Church of St. Francesco al Corso which houses examples of the Veronese painting school including the ‘Crucifixion’ and ‘St. Catherine of Alessandria’ by Caroto.
