Part of the façade of Juliet’s House (Casa di Giulietta) in Verona is a restored 13th Century inn. No visit to Verona would be complete without standing on the balcony made famous by Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet. This marble balcony, restored in 1935 by Antonio Avena, is smaller than most people imagine it to be. The renowned Juliet statue by Nereo Costantini is also here and the house, now state owned, is often used for art displays.
