The ’Covolo di Camposilvano’ is an extremely unusual geological phenomenon in the Lessinia region. It is a giant conical limestone cavity, at the bottom of which is a roomy cave that was inhabited by prehistoric man. The immense size of the cavern means it has its own climate, with light rain and even snow, even in the hottest months; it also has its own flora and fauna. There are tales of a mythical and malevolent people living here that were descendants of the same people who lived in the Valley of the Sphinxes.
