It was the last descendant of the Emilei-Forti family, who was owner of a palace, donated it to the Town Council. In 1982 the municipal ’Achille Forti’ Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art was inaugurated. This gallery is worth a visit just to see the frescoes by Francesco Lorenzi, Marco Marcola and Giorgio Anselmi. The civic collection is divided onto two periods, the first dedicated to 19th Century with works of art by Francesco Hayez, Giacomo Favretto and Alfredo Savini. The second dedicated to the 20th Century featuring works by Francesco Perotti, Filippo De Pisis, Umberto Boccioni and Emilio Vedova.
