The Ugento coastline is famous for its shallow waters, which are a paradise for fishermen and divers alike. It extends along a stretch of coastline from I Pali to Torre Mozza and on for another three kilometres from the coast to end at the rocks known as the Cavallo and Sciumenta. Ugento has many scuba-diving activities, with the sea giving many surprises such as the peaked walls in blue with exotic colours, and sea life in abundance. There are many grottos with beautiful light effects and you can see groupers swimming around the red sea fans.
