The ‘Bassa del Bardello’ comprises part of a long depression known as Bassa del Pirotolo. It is historic in origin, situated to the north of the San Vitale pinewoods and ending in the Buca del Cavedone. The Valle Mandriole has a tower that is used as an observatory and is the only high point. It is visited by nature lovers and those curious about the natural setting of Ravenna. There is parking at the Scolo Rivalone just before reaching Ca’ Chiavichino.
