On the outskirts of Todi, heading northwest, you will come to the small town of Montecastello de Vibio. This is a walled town of medieval origins with marvellous views out over the Tiber Valley. At the time of Napoleon, the town’s families clubbed together in order to build a theatre to commemorate the Revolution. This resulted in the building of one of the smallest theatres in existence. The Teatro della Concordia was fashioned on La Scala, complete with boxes, and can seat just 99 people. It was restored during the 1990s.
