The church of Santa Maria in Portico is of 15th Century origin and the work of two Como architects. Today it is known as Fontegiusta and is not an unusual style for Tuscany. It is not the architecture that attracts visitors, but a fresco of an unusual subject - Sibyl predicting the coming of Christ to Augustus. For a long time it was believed that this was the only fresco by Peruzzi in the city, but it has now been attributed to Daniele da Volterra.
