Santa Cesarea Terme is a very pretty green city with many sites of great historical importance. The best of its attractions are the thermal spa centres that, as well as being treatment centres, offer wellbeing packages that include beauty, anti-stress, and toning treatments. Local folklore says the waters are mythical, with the story saying it sprung from the bodies of the Leuterni giants killed by Hercules. The thermal waters stay at a temperature of 30 degrees centigrade and contain sulphur, magnesium, bromine and iodine which come from the springs in four of the coastal grottos linked to each another.
