The church of San Pietro a Ovile in Siena was founded in the 13th Century. It is thought to be a former site of the Franciscan Order before their own church, San Francesco, was built not far from here. The interior contains some 14th Century frescoes, and fragments of frescoes believed to be the work of Bartolo di Fredi. There is a wonderful painted Cross by Giovanni di Paolo above the altar, which is dated from the 15th Century.
