The church of San Martino in Siena was documented in the 8th Century. It has undergone many restorations over the centuries including the façade by Giovanni Fontana in a Roman Mannerist style. The Latin-cross plan interior mostly dates to the 16th Century. Artwork includes the Circumcision by Guido Reni, the Martyrdom of St. Bartholomew by Guercino and the Nativity by Domenico Beccafumi. A stairway leads to the church from the Logge del Papa built around 1537.
