The Rocca San Zenone was once a sighting garrison and can be located at the entrance to the Serra Valley when coming from the direction of Terni. Today there is only part of the structure left of the control and look out system which was made up of 5 towers linked by the village walls. It is a medieval layout and it is thought that it was built on top of an already existing Umbrian settlement – that of the Oppidum di Vindena.
