Ramponio Verna is a small village close to Lake Como and was a strategic site for supporters fighting against German troops camping in the valley in WWII. The 17th Century church dedicated to S. Benedetto has a Baroque lantern on top of its bell tower. Inside are frescoes and altars by local artists of the 17th and 18th centuries. The Oratory of S. Pancrazio is 11th Century, enlarged in the 1400. The bell tower is 13th Century and the arcade is a later Baroque addition. Inside are frescoes of the 1500s and 18th Century marbles by local artist T.Orsolini.
