Quartiere Coppedé is an area called a ’district’ but it really lies within the district of Trieste. Built mainly during the 1930s, and has many blocks of apartments that are typical of the period, it was designed by the architect Gino Coppedé after whom it is called. The Via Dora is the street to visit which culminates in the Piazza Mincio. Coppedé made wide use of the floral motifs that are typical of the Art Nouveau era, also note the balcony that unites two palazzos and supports an enormous streetlight.
