The Porta Ravegnana or Portonaccio is to be found between Borgo San Rocco and the Via Ravegnana. It is not a real gate as it does not form part of the walls but is inside Borgo San Rocco at about 200 metres from Porta Sisi. It is built on a site of an ancient crenellated arch called Portonaccio and the name was given to the new construction, which was built to a design of Camillo Morigia around 1743-95. Not a city gate, but a memorial arch set in the Via Ravegnana, simple in style but very fine.
