The historic Piazza San Nicolò in Randazzo is dominated by a church of the same name. This was built in 1594 and has a façade of dark lava stone. The bell tower is dated 1783. Along with the Santa Maria della Volta (14th Century), across the square is the Palazzo Clarentano which was built in 1508. The palace has a fine façade with mullioned windows separated by narrow columns. To the right of Palazzo Clarentano is the lovely Via degli Archi, with, as the name suggests, a series of arches.
