The Palazzo Spada is a huge Renaissance palace built for Michelangelo Spada in 1546. The architect was Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, though many say it’s perhaps his least inspired work. In fact there is some argument whether or not he did actually design it. The building has a very severe look with a wide arcade entrance. Inside, the internal rooms are painted with frescoes and other decorations. The Spada Palace is now used as the city’s town hall.
