The Palazzo Serristori stands on the Via della Conciliazione between Palazzo Cesi and Palazzo dei Penitenzieri. It was built in the mid 16th Century and belonged to Bartolomeo della Rovere and then later to the Serristori family who were here until around 1830. It was they who made it the Tuscan Embassy to the Holy See. It wasn’t until much later that it was fitted out as barracks. It has now become a papal school and has recently been restored.
