The Palazzo del Arengo was constructed in 1204 under the instructions of Madio Carbonesi in Bologna. It forms part of the town council buildings together with the Palazzo del Podestŕ and the Palazzo Garampi, it became Rimini’s city council building in the late medieval period. Topped with battlements it is a really impressive Romanesque-Gothic style palace, with large front windows and large early Gothic arches. The restoration is evident on the building’s graceful and slender tower, the beautiful Ghibeline battlements and the Lombard windows.
