The Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo faces the east side of the town’s main square. It was built in the early part of the 13th Century. This palace has a high loggia on the ground level and beautiful three-mullioned Gothic windows in the façade. Worthy of some note is the huge arched stairway which leads to both the Palazzo Del Gapitano and the adjacent Palazzo del Popolo. For visitors, access can be gained to the town’s various museum collections via this stairway.
