Palazzo Cavour was commissioned around 1730 by Michel Antonio Benso and built by Gian Giacomo Plantery. He was the Count of Cavour and the grandfather of the Count Camilo, the Prime Minister of Victor Emmanuel II. Inside there is a grand staircase sporting three flights leading to the aristocratic apartments. Here you can find domical vaults, cadenced pillars, columns, and stuccoed openings. The entrance hall is magnificent, covered by a large vault with lunettes and rooms decorated with paintings and stuccoes. The place also houses temporary exhibitions.
