Palaeontology Museum
Piazza Sant’Agostino, 5 Siena 53037 - Italy

Map
The Palaeontology Museum was founded in 1691 and includes the library of the Anatomist Paolo Mascagni. This museum is an interesting place and a little bit of heaven to the young who have a fascination for pre-historic reptiles. There is nothing of the world of flashy entertainment here, simply science but none the less fossils retain their appeal. There are a great many collections of mineralogical, zoological and paleontological items on display. Admission is completely free.
