The Oriental Art National Museum is housed inside the Brancaccio Palace and is the most important Italian collection of Oriental art. The collection is made up of findings taken from the sites of the archaeological missions of the Italian Institute for the Middle and Far East. Founded in 1957, it has its own restoration laboratory, photography lab, picture archive and a library. On display are Prehistoric art through to modern times from the Asian region between Iran and Japan, along with other items from the Middle East.
