Nago is situated a little behind Torbole heading towards the San Giovanni Pass. This is an appealing place with an ancient city centre. There is the 13th Century parish church of San Vigilio as well as the Trinità Church, an 18th Century Baroque structure. Also in Nago is the house of the 19th Century poet Antonio Gazzoletti. In the lower part of the town and facing on to Lake Garda are the Austrian forts from 1860-62, which have undergone restoration and which are used now for tourism purposes.
