Established in 1878, the Museum of the Risorgimento was designed to chart an important historic course. This is done using documentary evidence of the main political stages of Italian history, from the 18th Century to the birth of the Republic. The museum is currently housed in rooms within the Palazzo Carignano, the former seat of Italy’s Parliament. It has an abundance of documents and art collections, which range from flags, portraits, books, clothes, reconstructions of settings, and newspapers.
