The Alfredo Brandolini Natural Science Museum of Ravenna is housed in the district of Sant’Alberto just a few kilometres from Ravenna and sited at the edge of the Po Delta Park. The museum holds an excellent ornithological collection donated by Alfredo Brandolini who was a naturalist from Ravenna at the start of the 1900s, also many other objects donated over the years. There is a beautiful collection of shells from the Adriatic Sea that can be found along the coast of Romagna as well as examples of reptiles and mammals typical of the territory with some from more exotic regions.
