The Museo del Risorgimento has been housed, since 2004, in the church of San Romualdo. This church was built by Luca Danesi around 1692 using stone taken fro the Rocca Brancaleone. In the sanctuary attached to the convent buildings of the Classense library, there has been a collection of relics from the Risorgimento on display for more than 100 years. On display here is the work of the people of Ravenna who were part of the war of independence, and the events of Garibaldi’s life.
