The L’Inviolata Church in Riva del Garda was built in 1603 and is said to be the best example of Baroque architecture in the Trentino region. This stunning building has an octagonal layout and there is some lovely decorative gilt plaster-work. There are frescoes by Pietro Ricchi and Teofilo Turri and the dome decoration is the work of Martino Teofilo Polacco. The high altar is antique green and red marble with works by Palma il Giovane and Guido Reni. Of note are the beautifully carved wooden choirs.
