The Library of the Academy of Salò (Accademia degli Unanimi) was founded in 1564 by the poet Filippo Meio Voltolina of Salò. His aim was to help promote educational and enriching activities. The present day library contains around 25,000 volumes. There are also some 13th Century manuscripts here as well as incunabula, codes and various documents of the Magnifica Patria which date from the beginning of the 16th Century. The library is open Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
