Situated in Via S. Nicola is a house called Fasulo, with a little balcony and a fine aslar portal. This was once the home of Cornelia Tasso, the wife of Marzio Sersale and sister of the poet Torquato Tasso. The entrance hall has a vault with frescoes of armorial bearings, military trophies and an inscription dating from the year 1651, in memory of the well known poet. The story goes that in 1577, Torquato Tasso, escaped from the castle of Ferrara, presenting himself as the poet’s messenger and only later revealed his true identity.
