Garda Island Guided Tours
Isola del Garda, San Felice del Benaco - Italy

Map
Garda Island (Borghese Cavazza Island) is where St Francis of Assisi founded a hermitage for minor friars. Today it is owned by the Cavazza family, who live here in the beautiful historical Venetian neo-gothic manor. It was designed by Luigi Rovelli and built in the early 20th Century and is surrounded by beautiful Italian and English-style gardens. Guided tours of the island last around 2 hours and take in the gardens and several rooms of the villa. The 10-minute motorboat trip to the island leaves from Barbarano di Salò or Gardone Riviera.
