The Fountain of the Twelve Months – or Fontana dei Dodici Mesi – can be found at the end of the rise on Viale Boiardo. This beautiful fountain was designed by the architect, Carlo Ceppi and built for the National Exposition of 1898 and for the 50th anniversary of the Albertine Statute. An example of 19th Century high-tech during the Belle Époque, the architect incorporated the slope of the ground into his design. The statues, depicting the months of the year, were sculptured by Luigi Contratti and Edoardo Rubino.
