The Civico Museo Archeologico in Sesto Calende has a display of various archaeological objects and findings. There are old tombs, exhibited in chronological order and one of the most important collections is that of the Golasecca people. Visitors can see plain pots and urns, and furnishings of more elegance and wealth. As well as the more domestic objects and dress, there is a feminine tomb called the ‘Tomba del Tripode’, which was discovered in 1977 complete with funeral paraphernalia. Also here, there are items of the Bronze and the Gallic Age.
