The Mother Church of Sant’Alfio is the major religious building in the town. It has precious polychrome altars with alter pieces representing the three Patron Saints. There are also a number of frescoes which include those portraying the ‘Triumph of the three Martyrs’ in the apse. The church has an unusual façade which is constructed of lava stone. Other interesting churches in the town include the Chiesa del Calvario, from which visitors are offered an impressive vista, and the Chiesa dei Nucifori, which houses an interesting bust of the Madonna di Tindari.
