The Church of Sant’Ignazio is one of the most important Jesuit churches. It was designed by Domenichino, and built by Cardinal Ludovico Ludovisi in the 17th Century. It comprises a nave and two aisles, supported by big Corinthian pillars and has fine Baroque chapels in the cross: Saint Louis Gonzaga’a Chape, decorated with marble statues and golden bronze, with the sarcophagus containing the body of the saint, and the left chapel with the bas-relief depicting the Annunciation.
