The Church of San Domenico dates from the middle ages. It stands near the Piazza delle Erbe, where once a market was held, and has been a densely populated district since the 13th Century. The church is divided into a nave and two aisles, with a colour contrast between the parts in brick and the white domical vaults. There are several coats of arms of Turin families on the columns. It has an 18th Century wooden pulpit and a Gothic style apse, and in the right aisle are the 16th – 17th Century confessionals and the Chapel of the Holy Rosary.
