The Church of San Carlo is located in the village of Chizzoline near Soiano del Lago. It was built in 1610 in honour of San Carlo Borromeo, who is believed to have stayed here. It was handed over to the friars of San Rocco when Venice destroyed their convent, as well as the adjacent church, because they lacked sufficient property to maintain at least 12 monks. There are some fabulous paintings inside the church by the artist Bertanza.
