The Chisa Matrice in the town of Ruffano is a real treasure trove. There are many artistic gems to be seen all along the walls of this church, in the building and in its layout and altar. Inside the church the altar of the Blessed Virgin boasts a statue of the Virgin and Child enclosed in sculptured panels of soft local stone. Also very beautiful is the masterpiece of an altar dedicated to the Most Holy Sacrament, with gorgeous spiral columns with two statues on the side and a framed painting inside.
