The Chiesa Evangelica was erected in 1874; this replaced the former evangelical church in Piazza Vecchia, which is now Piazza dell’Unita d’Italia. Reminiscent of the Gothic buildings in Northern Europe, it is built in the typical neo-gothic style. Designed by the Russian, Zimmerman and built by Berlam and Scalmainini from Trieste who had problems with the bell tower foundations. The famous Bavarian firm, Steinmayer built the original organ that is still in use today. There are two funeral monuments by Antonio Bosa, which were built in 1823.
