The Chiesa di San Nicola is Norman in style and layout and appears in a document around 1162. However it was renovated in the 16th Century and many decorations were added to it until 1901. There are fine stuccoworks in the nave and above the large arches, and the stucco reliefs made to look like Corinthian pillars is very Baroque-like. Divided into three parts the crypt is well worth a visit; one area has a barrel vault and scenes from The Passion and the Death of Jesus and is very beautiful.
